New Generation Mold Inhibitor
GLAMOCID MOLD is a specially designed feed sanitizer that provides an excellent protection against spoilage caused by growth of molds, yeasts and several bacteria and therefore retains the dry matter & nutrients in finished feed.
Mold growth in feed can decrease its quality substantially. Moisture and temperature are the most common drivers for their growth. As the mold thrive in feed, it can consume majority of nutrients, in form of carbohydrate, fat, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, etc. and decrease the palatability of feed by changing the dietetic parameters of the feed. The presence of growing molds produces mycotoxins in feedstuff and decreases feed intake, and feed efficiency, while increasing the risk of infection and reproduction disability.
GLAMOCID MOLD is a blend of organic acids and antioxidant.
High concentration of Propionic Acid & Formic Acid, in total of 50%
Propionic acid safeguards against mold growth, nutrient & energy losses and mycotoxin formation during storage. Formic acid reduces bacterial population with special emphasis on controlling E. coli, Salmonella & Campylobacter (Chowdhury et al., 2008).
Organic acids
Diffuse through the cell membrane of the mold/ bacterial cell in undissociated form and proceed to ionize and acidify the cell cytoplasm. This disrupts the transport of some essential nutrients, especially amino acids resulting in inhibition of protein synthesis and ultimately forcing the mold/ bacterial cell death (Dibner and Buttin, 2002).
BHT
Inactivates the free radicals that are already formed and break in this way the chain reaction of the already started rancidity process.
Benefits:
- Sanitizes feed and increases shelf-life & storage.
- Prevents molds from changing the composition of feed.
- Decreases the risk of rancidity in feed, especially with high fat content.
- Helps to protect the feed from unwanted micro-organisms.
- Helps to maintain the nutritional value of feed.
Usage & Recommendation:
- Layer: 500gm – 1kg per ton of feed.
-
Broiler & Breeder: 1 – 2 Kg per ton of feed.
Or as per recommendation of nutritionist or consultant.
